Hey everyone, I've been eagerly waiting for the Canon EOS R7 Mark II to be released ever since rumors started circulating about this updated APS-C mirrorless camera. The original R7 has been a great camera, but I'm excited to see what improvements Canon packs into the Mark II version.
I know the R7 was just released in mid-2022, so the Mark II is probably still a ways off. But has anyone heard any credible rumors or seen any leaks about when we might expect Canon to announce and release the R7 Mark II? Any insider info or speculation on potential release timing?

If you are planning buy EOS R7, just don't wait, get it now and enjoy shooting.

Buy R7 now, or you'd better wait R7 Mark III version. Because R7 Mark II will not have a lot of improvements over original r7.

I've spent way too many years chasing release dates, and tbh, Canon is usually slower than the rumor mills suggest. I went through this same thing waiting for the 7D series back in the day... just ends up being a lot of missed shots while you wait for a camera that doesnt exist yet. In my experience, focusing on what works right now is better for the kit.
- Canon EOS R7 Body: The IBIS and reach are incredible for birding, though the rolling shutter can be a bit annoying if you're doing fast action. It's built like a tank though.
- Canon EOS R6 Mark II Body: Feels more like a professional tool. It handles weather better and the low light is just on another level compared to the APS-C sensors. If you're worried about reliability, the current R7 is already a beast. Id just get that and start shooting instead of waiting for a 2025 release that might get pushed back anyway. It's a solid tool that hasn't failed me yet.

Canon RUMORS suggests R7 Mark II could be coming in late 2024.
Could be delayed again, even EOS R6 Mark III is delayed until 2025.

According to late rumors, EOS R7 Mark II could be released in late 2024 to early 2025.

Why not get R7 now, and then sell it when R7 Mark II is released.

R7 Mark II will be more professional than EOS R7, the real successor of EOS 7D Mark II.
