Is anyone else here planning to hunt for action camera Cyber Monday deals in 2025? I’m trying to time an upgrade and don’t want to pay full price if the discounts are really worth waiting for.
I’m mainly looking at GoPro, DJI Osmo Action, and maybe Insta360, but I’m open to other brands if the value is good. I use an older GoPro for biking and snowboarding, and it struggles with low light and stabilization, so I’d like something that does 4K60 (or better), solid stabilization, and decent battery life in cold weather.
For those of you who’ve tracked this in past years, do the best Cyber Monday deals usually come from official stores (GoPro/DJI/Insta360), big retailers like Amazon/Best Buy, or smaller camera sites? Also, are the bundles (extra batteries, mounts, cases) actually good value, or is it smarter to just grab the camera body and buy accessories separately?
What Cyber Monday 2025 action camera deals or strategies should I be watching for, and where do you normally find the biggest discounts and best bundles?
Check Amazon and B&H Photo Video, there are plenty of great deals now.
Just grabbed a GoPro Hero 13 Black for $319 on Amazon - that's $100 off the regular price! Also saw the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro going for $259, which is a solid deal if you're looking for something with better low-light performance than previous generations. Best Buy seems to be matching most of these prices too, so shop around before pulling the trigger.
If you're on a tighter budget, the Insta360 Go 3S is down to $299 from $379. It's tiny but surprisingly capable - I use mine for POV shots when mountain biking and it's been great. The magnetic mounting system is genuinely useful. Not the best for serious vlogging, but for action sports it punches above its weight.
Worth mentioning that B&H Photo has bundle deals that include extra batteries and SD cards. Sometimes those bundles end up being better value than just the camera alone, even if the base discount looks smaller. I picked up an Action 5 Pro bundle for $289 that came with two batteries, a 128GB card, and a floating grip. Would've spent another $80 buying those separately.
