Anyone tracking good Cyber Monday 2025 deals on video doorbells? I’m looking for something with solid motion detection, good night vision, and either no or very low monthly subscription. Ideally under $150 and compatible with Alexa/Google. Have you seen any standout Cyber Monday offers or brands/models that are usually discounted big that day?

Hey, jumping in with a slightly different angle: warranty + insurance, because that bit bit me once 😅

Story: I had a budget video doorbell die 13 months in… right after the 12‑month warranty. Manufacturer blamed “improper installation,” my home insurance said it counted as a failed device (not covered), and I basically ate the cost.

So when you’re hunting Cyber Monday deals under $150, I’d check:

1. **Warranty length & type**
– Aim for **at least 2 years** if you can. Eufy and some Arlo models sometimes have 18–24 month warranties (depends on region).
– Check what’s actually covered: water ingress, sun damage, battery failure, Wi‑Fi module dying. Cheap brands often exclude the stuff that actually fails.

2. **Where you buy it**
– **Amazon, Best Buy, Costco** sometimes extend returns or add an extra year of coverage on certain promos. Costco in particular is pretty generous if the thing dies early.
– Some cards add 1 year warranty extension if you don’t use BNPL. Worth checking your card’s benefits.

3. **Installation & insurance fine print**
– If you’re hardwiring it into an existing chime, follow their diagram exactly and **take photos**. If something goes wrong (short, scorch mark, etc.), both warranty and home insurance will want proof you didn’t DIY something wild.
– For apartments/condos, some HOAs and landlords want these to be **battery‑powered only**. If you hardwire against rules and it causes damage, insurance can get messy.

4. **Cloud vs local & liability**
– Purely local‑storage models (Eufy, some Reolink) are nice for no sub, but just note: if there’s ever an incident (package theft, etc.), some insurers/police will ask for footage. Make sure the warranty doesn’t exclude “continuous operation” if you crank motion sensitivity or 24/7 recording.

Models that usually tick decent warranty boxes and still hit your price on Cyber Monday:
– **Eufy Video Doorbell 2K (battery or wired)** – often drops well under $150, 2K, local storage, Alexa/Google, and generally better warranty/support than random brands.
– **Blink Video Doorbell** – cheaper, shorter warranty, but Amazon is usually pretty fair with early failures.
– **Ring Wired** – base models sometimes go crazy cheap ($40–60). Warranty is ok, but a lot of the value assumes you’ll pay for Ring Protect, so run the 2–3 year math.

Lesson learned from my side: don’t just sort by “biggest % off.” For Cyber Monday, I’d personally pick the **slightly more expensive doorbell from a brand with a clear 2‑year+ warranty and decent retailer backup**, rather than the rock‑bottom no‑name deal. Over 3–4 years, that usually ends up cheaper than replacing a dead unit.

Hope this helps you snag a deal that won’t die right after the return window. 🙂

Hey,

Since everyone’s covered features and subscriptions, I’ll be the weirdo and talk **resale value** and **depreciation** – basically, how good (or bad) a Cyber Monday “deal” looks 2–3 years from now.

**Option A: Big brands (Ring, Nest, Arlo)**
**Pros:**
- Hold value better if you resell when you upgrade (people recognize the name).
- Easier to flip on FB Marketplace / eBay.
**Cons:**
- Heavier subscription pressure, which eats into your overall “investment return.”

**Option B: Mid‑tier brands (Eufy, Reolink, TP‑Link Tapo)**
**Pros:**
- Sweet spot IMO: cheaper up front, still known enough to resell.
- Eufy/Tapo especially get good used prices if you keep the box + accessories.
**Cons:**
- Depreciate a bit faster than Ring/Nest when a new model drops.

**Option C: Random Amazon brands / no‑name deals**
**Pros:**
- Lowest initial price.
**Cons:**
- Basically **zero resale value**. Once you’re done, it’s a sunk cost.

If you’re staying under $150 and want future value, I’d watch Cyber Monday for **Eufy** or **TP‑Link Tapo** bundles. You’ll likely get local storage (low ongoing cost), decent brand recognition, and at least *some* resale value when you inevitably upgrade.

In my experience, paying $20–30 more for a brand you can resell later beats the absolute cheapest doorbell every time.

Hope this helps!
