Just picked up the DJI Avata 2 and I’m absolutely loving the FPV experience so far! However, I want to make sure I’m fully prepared before heading out on a longer trip next month. I’ve already got the Fly More Combo, but I’m wondering what else is actually "essential" for daily use. I’m specifically looking at getting some ND filters for cinematic motion blur and maybe a sturdier hard case since the included bag feels a bit cramped. Are lens protectors or high-speed SD cards high on your list? What are the top 3 must-have accessories you’d recommend for a new owner to keep the drone safe and the footage looking professional?

oh man, congrats on picking up the Avata 2! honestly, i remember my first big trip with my FPV gear and i basically overpacked everything but forgot the essentials... ended up with super choppy footage cuz i didnt have filters and my bag got crushed in the overhead bin. it was a total mess lol. but hey, since ur looking for the best bang for your buck, you can actually get kitted out without spending a fortune. first off, for that professional motion blur, i highkey recommend the Sunnylife ND Filter Set for DJI Avata 2 (ND8 ND16 ND32 ND64). they usually go for about $25-30. ngl, they’re just as good as the pricier brands for daily use. without them, your shutter speed will be way too high in daylight and the video looks... well, kinda cheap and jittery. definitely a MUST. second, dont sleep on the storage. i’ve tried many cards over the years, but the Samsung EVO Select 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 A2 V30 is a literal lifesaver. you can often find them for under $35 on sale. it’s way cheaper than those fancy 'extreme' cards and handles the Avata's 4K bitrates perfectly fine. i always carry two just in case one fails or i lose it in the grass. lastly, for protection, the included bag is okay for a quick walk but for a real trip? nah. look at the Lykus Titan MA210 Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Avata 2. it’s around $45-50 and is basically indestructible. i once had a heavy suitcase slide right onto mine and the drone was PERFECT. way better than spending $100+ on a name-brand case. i'd skip the lens protectors tho... they usually cause weird reflections and glare in your shots. basically, stick to those three and youll be golden for your trip! gl!

Totally agree with the above! Seconding that hard case recommendation because the soft bag is basically a disaster waiting to happen for the gimbal. I've been doing this for years and learned the hard way that safety and reliability are #1. Here’s what I’d look at for your trip: * **Filters:** Freewell DJI Avata 2 ND Filters - 6Pack vs DJI Avata 2 ND Filters Set (ND8/16/32). Freewell is better value cuz you get way more density options for bright sun, but the DJI ones are super easy to snap on if you want to stay official.
* **Storage:** Definitely grab the SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I V30. Don't risk your footage on slow cards; you need that V30 rating for the high-bitrate 4K.
* **Safety:** Lowkey, the Skyreat Avata 2 Gimbal Bumper is a lifesaver for protecting the lens during those inevitable "oops" moments. Basically, prioritize protecting that glass and your data. Have an amazing trip! 👍
