Looking for the best Fujifilm X-Series camera specifically for street photography. Considering size, image quality, and responsiveness. Budget is $1500. Which model offers the best balance?

I shoot street with an X-T20 (bought used for $600). Image quality's fantastic, and it's small enough to be discreet. Be careful though, the battery life isn't amazing, so factor in extra batteries. For your budget, you might want to consider that plus a nice lens. I'd suggest trying one out first if you can.
