Hey everyone,

Anyone seen any early Black Friday deals popping up for the Fuji X-E5? I'm really hoping to snag one this year. I've been saving up and my old camera is starting to die on me at the worst possible time.

Where can I find best deals on X-E5?

X-E5 is still a new camera. You can use whenpricedrop to track the price of X-E5, they will alert you when price dropped:

Honestly if you are handy with gear you might wanna look at picking up a used body that needs some TLC instead of waiting for a holiday sale. I have been around the block a few times and honestly just go with any Fujifilm camera you can find on the secondhand market. You really cant go wrong with their older tech and the colors are basically the same anyway. Sometimes those Black Friday discounts are pretty weak on the newer stuff. If you find a used one that is a bit dusty or has some scratches you can usually fix it up yourself with a kit or just put a skin on it. Its way more satisfying than paying full price for a brand new unit tho.

honestly while waiting for a good price i tried to fix my current setup myself cuz it started acting up recently. im still pretty new to the hardware side of things but i love digging into the specs - like the data transfer speeds and sensor layouts - so i thought i could handle a DIY repair. here is basically what i tried doing on my own:
- used a blower and some swabs to clear the sensor dust
- checked the ribbon cables behind the screen cuz it was flickering - did a deep dive into the internal firmware settings to optimize the AF performance it was kinda scary tbh and idk if i made it better or worse lol. but it definitely helped me understand the tech more while i save up for the new one. has anyone else tried a self-service fix to bridge the gap until they can actually snag a deal?
