For versatile everyday shooting, the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS is often bundled as a kit lens and is an excellent performer, offering a great balance of focal lengths and good image quality. If you're interested in prime lenses, the compact Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR or XF 35mm f/2 R WR are highly recommended for street photography and general use due to their sharpness and portability. For portraits, the Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR or the XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR are excellent choices, offering beautiful bokeh. Consider your primary shooting interests to help narrow down your selection!

Honestly, I totally agree that the native primes are the gold standard for a body like the X-E5. But looking at the market research lately, the third-party scene has basically exploded and changed the game for Fuji users... - Go with any of the newer glass from the big third-party names, you pretty much can't go wrong with their latest stuff.
- Stick to native if you really want that specific tactile experience, but the competition is catching up fast. I'm not 100% sure if the autofocus is exactly parity yet, maybe? But the price-to-performance ratio on the non-Fuji brands is getting pretty wild tbh. It's a way better market than it was a few years ago for sure.

I love my XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR.
