Sony a7 V and Canon EOS R6 Mark III, which one will you buy?

Both are upcoming full frame professional cameras price around $2500. Which one do you think will coming first?

I will choose EOS R6 Mark III.

tbh I think it basically comes down to what glass you already have or what you can afford to buy next. If youre starting fresh, I’d probably go with the Sony a7 V just because of the long-term value. Canon is great but their lens ecosystem is still pretty closed off compared to Sony. Here are a few things to consider if youre trying to save some cash:
- Third-party lenses: Sony has Sigma and Tamron, which is a *huge* money saver compared to buying native RF glass.
- Used market: You can find tons of high-quality used E-mount glass right now for cheap.
- Resale value: Historically, Sony bodies hold their price point pretty well in the first year. I dont expect either to drop for at least another few months, but if youre cost-conscious, the Canon EOS R6 Mark III might end up being more expensive once you factor in the lenses. Just my two cents after being in this game for years!
