I'm looking to upgrade my lens for my Nikon D7500 and would love some recommendations. I currently have the kit lenses (18-55mm and 70-300mm). I primarily shoot landscapes and nature photography, but I also want versatility for different situations. What lenses do you recommend that offer great image quality and low-light performance?

For the Nikon D7500, several lenses can enhance your photography experience:

  1. Nikkor DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4: This lens is highly recommended for its versatility and image quality, making it great for landscapes and general photography.

  2. Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art: Known for its sharpness and speed, this lens is excellent for low-light conditions and creative shots.

  3. Nikkor 70-200mm f/4G: A solid choice for portraits and wildlife, offering great image quality without being too heavy.

  4. Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G: Perfect for portraits with beautiful bokeh.

For a great all-around lens that won't break the bank, I'd highly recommend the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G DX. It's sharp, fast for low light, and perfect for street photography and portraits on the D7500. At around $200, it's an incredible value and way better than the kit lens. I've been using mine for two years and it's still my go-to lens!

The Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 DX is your best all-around choice. Yes, it's expensive ($1400+), but the image quality and constant f/2.8 aperture make it worth it for serious photographers. I've shot everything from landscapes to events with it.
