Just finally picked up a Nikon Z6II and I’m beyond excited! I’m currently torn between investing in CFexpress Type B cards or sticking with fast SD cards. Also, is an extra EN-EL15c battery or a specific L-bracket essential for landscape work? What are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend for a new owner to get started right?

For your situation, I recommend:
SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II V90: CFexpress is unfortunately overpriced.
Nikon EN-EL15c Rechargeable Li-ion Battery: Needed cuz battery life is lowkey mid.
SmallRig L-Bracket for Nikon Z6II: Essential for landscape.

In my experience, grab a SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO CFexpress Type B and SmallRig L-Bracket for Nikon Z6II cuz they're honestly HUGE for landscape work. It's totally worth it!

I'd honestly just stick with SD cards for now to save cash!! Not sure but i think a cheap screen protector is a total lifesaver too... seriously worth the few bucks iirc lol.

Late to the party but I totally agree with NebulaNectar about the screen protector. When I first got my setup, I figured the glass would be tough enough on its own. That was a mistake... I ended up catching the screen on a metal zipper while packing up and that scratch bugged me for the next year. Now I just buy a basic pack of the tempered glass ones and put it on immediately. Based on my experience over the last couple years, the card choice really depends on your specific shooting style. I started with just the SD cards to save money and they worked fine for standard shots. I eventually added a faster card later, but I only really notice the benefit when clearing the buffer during long bursts. One thing I've learned is that having a second battery is non-negotiable for long days. I've had my camera die right as the light was getting perfect more than once, and its just not worth the frustration.
