Finally bit the bullet and grabbed a Z6 after shooting with my old D750 for like seven years. I thought I knew what I was getting into but the switch to mirrorless is a bit more of a transition than I expected honestly. Like I didnt realize how fast the EVF drains the battery compared to an OVF and the whole XQD card thing is kind of a sticker shock moment since I have a drawer full of SD cards. Im shooting a small wedding in Seattle next month and have about 500 bucks left in the gear budget. Aside from the FTZ adapter which I already have what are the absolute essentials you guys recommend for this body? Just trying to make sure I dont miss anything obvious before the big day...
Honestly, you'll be super satisfied once you grab a few extra batteries. The Nikon EN-EL15c Rechargeable Li-ion Battery is a must for weddings since mirrorless eats power. Also, dont overpay for XQD. I use the Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B Gold Series 128GB and it works perfectly with the latest firmware. That should keep you under budget and happy for your Seattle shoot!
