Is there an easy way to just send my whole Amazon cart to my best friend so she can see what I'm thinking of buying for our upcoming trip to Florida next month? I've been trying to figure this out for like an hour and I feel so stupid honestly because I thought I could just copy the link at the top of the browser but when I sent it to her she said it just showed her her own empty cart which makes sense now that I think about it but I still dont know how to fix it lol.
See we're going to Orlando in about three weeks and I'm trying to pick out all the stuff we need like those specific cooling towels and some bulk snacks and portable chargers but we want to make sure we arent buying duplicates of the same things. My budget for the gear is around 150 bucks and I really need her to look at the brands I picked to see if she likes them but I'm super scared of giving her my password or something because my credit card is saved in there and I just dont want to mess anything up or have her accidentally buy something on my account. Is there a button I'm missing? I looked all over the cart page and I see - save for later and - proceed to checkout but nothing about sharing.
Maybe I'm supposed to use a different feature? I'm really not a tech person at all so sorry if this is like a super basic thing everyone knows how to do. I just want a way where she can see the list of items I have ready to go without me having to take a million screenshots on my phone and texting them one by one because that sounds like a nightmare and we'd probably lose track of what we talked about anyway. Someone told me about lists but I already have everything in the cart so I dont know if I have to start over or if there is a way to just move the cart to a list? I just want to do it safely without sharing my login info...
Like someone mentioned, a Wish List is the safest way.
Man, I have been in your shoes so many times it's not even funny. Over the years, I've planned dozens of these group trips to Orlando—Disney, Universal, you name it—and coordinating gear is always the messiest part. I remember one time I sent my sister a link to my cart thinking I was being so organized, and she just texted back asking why I sent her a link to her own detergent and cat food. It's because the cart is tied to your specific login session for security, so nobody else can ever see it by just copying a URL. In my experience, the easiest way to handle this without losing your mind is to move everything to a Shared List. You dont have to start over from scratch, which is the good news. If you go into your cart on a desktop, you should see a little link under each item that says Move to List. Just create a new list called Florida Trip and dump everything in there. Then, you can hit the Invite button on that list and send her a link that lets her view it without ever touching your actual account or credit card info. It's much safer than sharing passwords and way less work than screenshots. Honestly, screenshots are the quickest way to end up with three extra portable chargers you dont need. There's this tool called Cart To Link that basically automates the whole cart sharing process, works across different regions too.
Quick question, are you guys splitting the payment or are you buying it all? That 150 budget is tight for Orlando gear. Honestly, I'd just use Cart To Link to show her the items. It's way safer than sharing a login.
