I’m trying to share my current Amazon cart with a family member so they can review the exact items (sizes/colors) before I check out. I don’t want to manually copy 10+ links or risk the cart changing. Is there a simple way to share my cart as a link or list so they can see the same items?
For your situation, I’d suggest not fighting the cart itself… Amazon carts are kinda meant to be personal, and sharing them cleanly is hit-or-miss (and yeah, they can change if prices/availability shift). I’ve been doing Amazon ordering for family stuff for years and the least annoying + most “budget-safe” way has been using lists.
**Option A (best): Move items into a List (Wish List / Shopping List) → share the list**
- **Pros:** You can share one link, they’ll see the exact items/variants you picked (size/color *if that variant is selected*), and you keep your cart clean. Free, no extra tools.
- **Cons:** Some items might reset if the seller/variant changes, so do a quick double-check.
**Option B: Screenshot + send (fastest)**
- **Pros:** Literally zero risk of “oops the cart changed,” and it’s free.
- **Cons:** They can’t click into items, and it’s a little clunky for 10+ items.
**Option C: “Buy it again” / Past order as reference (only if you’ve bought before)**
- **Pros:** Stable reference, good for repeat household stuff.
- **Cons:** Doesn’t help for new items.
Honestly, Option A is what I’ve stuck with long-term—works well, no complaints, and it helps avoid impulse add-ons so you stay on budget lol. gl!
+1 to what folks said — be careful, Amazon carts aren’t really “shareable” in a frozen way, and stuff can swap sellers/price mid-day. If you wanna avoid the list route, I’d suggest: take a quick screenshot of the cart (shows size/color) + send it, then have them open the items from their end. Also check if your cart has the “Share” option (some accounts do, some dont). Been burned by cart changes before…
Ok so… Amazon carts arent really shareable as a “frozen” link, sadly. Best options:
- **Option A (best IMO):** move items to an Amazon List (Wish List/Shopping List), set it to Shared, send the list link. Keeps colors/sizes if you added the right variant.
- **Option B:** use “Save for later” + screenshot the cart for a quick review.
- **Option C:** use “Buy Now” on each item (riskier).
Make sure youre both on the same country site + logged in.
Oh man, been there. I tried “sharing” an Amazon cart with my sister for like a year and it was not as good as expected… sizes/colors would flip, sellers swapped, sometimes items just vanished. What finally worked for us was using a registry-style page (wedding/baby) as a review list — it kept variants way more consistently than the cart, and she could comment/decide before I checked out. Still not 100% frozen tho, unfortunately. gl!
Nice, didn't know that
TL;DR from this thread: unfortunately there’s no reliable “frozen cart” link — carts are kinda personal and I’ve had issues with prices/sellers flipping mid-day, so sharing it cleanly is not as good as expected. People are saying your best DIY options are either (1) use Amazon’s cart “Share” button if your account shows it, or (2) send a quick screenshot / screen recording so they can confirm size/color without you pasting 10 links.
If you want the least hassle, screenshot + ask them to reply “approved/changes” is honestly the most stable. Are you both on the same Amazon account or separate ones??
Ok so tbh Amazon carts are kinda personal + not super safe to “share” as a frozen link. Quick q tho before I suggest the least-risky way: are you both on the same Amazon account (like shared Prime login), or are you trying to show it to them from a different account?
Also, do they need to approve exact variants (size/color) ONLY, or do you want them to actually be able to buy the same stuff themselves? Cuz that changes what’s reliable… if it’s just review, screenshots from the cart (showing variant + seller) can be surprisingly “locked” and avoids weird account/privacy stuff, you know?
For your situation, unfortunately Amazon doesn’t really do a “locked” cart link (I’ve had issues with carts changing cuz price/stock flips… annoying). But you can still make it easy + avoid sending 10 links.
- Use the **“Share”** button in the Amazon app/website cart (it shows up for some accounts) to send a cart link—just know it’s not truly frozen.
- If “Share” isn’t there, do the cheap hack: take 2–3 screenshots of the cart (shows sizes/colors + totals) and send those, then only copy links for the 1-2 items they question.
Saves time and keeps you from accidentally rebuying pricier variants later. good luck
