I'm trying to help my cousin get his first flat set up over in London since I'm stuck here in Chicago and cant be there to help him move in. I spent like three hours browsing Amazon.co.uk and I've got a whole basket full of essentials like a kettle, some decent towels, a set of pans, and a few other bits and bobs. The total is around 300 pounds and I want to make sure I didnt miss anything or get the wrong size for his bed or whatever before I hit the checkout button.
I did some digging online and saw people mentioning that Share-a-Cart extension but I'm always a bit sketched out about installing random browser plugins that want access to my shopping data you know? Just feels a bit risky. Then I saw some guide saying I should just move everything to a Wish List and share that instead but honestly that sounds like such a headache because I've already got everything ready to go in the cart and moving them one by one is gonna take ages.
Is there actually a native way to just send a link to my current basket or like a 'share cart' button I'm missing? I just want him to be able to see exactly what I picked out and maybe add a couple things himself before I pay for it all tomorrow morning...
> Is there actually a native way to just send a link Basically, no native tool exists. Over the years, I have found that public wishlists are much better for tracking price specs and keeping your 300 pound budget optimized, tho.
Unfortunately, Amazon lacks a robust API for sharing carts. I'd suggest logging the ASINs in Google Sheets for technical verification, ensuring your cousin gets the exact model specifications for his London flat.
> moving them one by one is gonna take ages. Unfortunately, it really is a total pain. I had issues with this when my sister moved too, and it was never as smooth as I expected. I basically ended up just screenshotting everything. Are you more worried about the total cost or just making sure the sizes for the bedding are right? I saw a really helpful guide on Smartphone Board about handling shared carts for international moves like this.
