I recently upgraded to the Sony a7R V and I'm in the market for a top-notch wide-angle lens to complement this powerhouse camera. I mainly shoot landscapes and architecture, so I'm looking for something that can capture expansive scenes with exceptional sharpness and minimal distortion. Any good wide-angle lens do you recommend ?

For the Sony a7R V, I highly recommend the Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM II. It's incredibly sharp across the frame, even wide open, and offers excellent build quality. The fast f/2.8 aperture is great for low-light situations and achieving a shallow depth of field. If you're on a tighter budget, consider the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD. It's lighter and more affordable while still delivering impressive image quality. For those who prefer prime lenses, the Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G is a fantastic option. It's compact, sharp, and great for astrophotography. Ultimately, the best lens depends on your specific needs and shooting style.
