I've been saving up for the Sony a7RV and Black Friday is coming up soon. Has anyone spotted any early deals or know which retailers typically offer the best discounts on Sony cameras? I'm hoping to snag one with maybe the 24-70mm kit lens if possible. Also wondering if it's worth waiting until Cyber Monday or if Black Friday usually has the better camera deals. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Hey there! Thinking ahead is smart! Honestly, I haven't tracked Sony *that* closely, but I did snag my a7III during a Black Friday deal years back. What I noticed was the biggest savings came from kits, not just the body alone. They throw in lenses or accessories, which is cool if you need them.

Also, keep an eye on used markets closer to the date! People upgrade and sell their older (but still awesome) gear. Might find a steal on an a7RV that way. Good luck with the hunt!

Hey! Thinking about Black Friday *that* far out? You're dedicated, I'll give you that! Honestly, predicting Sony's pricing is kinda like reading tea leaves, but let's see what we can do.

First off, that a7RV is a beast of a camera. You're right, the resolution bump from the a7III is HUGE. I've been there, wanting more megapixels for cropping and printing. That said, have you considered the a7CR? It's essentially the same sensor and processor as the a7RV, but in a smaller, lighter body. Might be worth a look, *especially* if size/weight are concerns. It might even be cheaper on Black Friday because it's a bit more niche.

As for price drops... below $3000 for the a7RV in 2025? Hmm, it's possible, but not guaranteed. Sony's Black Friday deals are often more about bundled kits than straight-up price cuts. Think: camera + kit lens + some accessories (extra battery, maybe a memory card). I'd say the chances are better if a successor is announced before then, which honestly, is pretty likely. Camera tech moves FAST.

One thing to keep in mind: even if a new model comes out, the a7RV will still be an incredible camera. Don't get TOO caught up in the "latest and greatest" hype. Focus on whether it meets YOUR needs. Also, keep an eye on used prices! Once the new model is announced, people will be dumping their a7RV's to upgrade, and you could snag a really good deal that way, maybe even sooner than Black Friday 2025.

Hope this helps! Good luck with the planning and saving!

Hey there! Black Friday 2025, that's some serious planning! While everyone's talking about price drops (and they're right, it's possible!), I think it's SUPER important to consider the safety aspect of buying around that time.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday can be a hotspot for scams, especially online for electronics! Think about it – high demand, lots of less reputable sellers popping up trying to snag a quick buck. Before you jump on any deal, *especially* for something pricey like an a7RV, REALLY vet the seller. Check for things like verifiable addresses, contact info, and REAL user reviews (not just the ones on their site).

Also, consider extended warranties or insurance from a reputable company. Just in case something goes wrong after the (often short) return period. You want to protect your investment! I'd rather pay a little more from a trusted source than risk getting burned on a 'too good to be true' deal. Better safe than sorry, especially with expensive gear! Hope this helps!

Hey! Black Friday 2025... you're a planner, that's for sure! Okay, so, here's my take: instead of hyper-focusing on the a7RV price *specifically*, have you thought about looking at the bigger picture of 'value'?

I mean, yeah, maybe it'll dip below $3000, but what if it only goes to $3100 but comes with a *fantastic* lens you'd want anyway? Or a bunch of accessories that would cost you hundreds separately?!

From what I've seen, Sony sometimes does those kit-style deals that actually work out cheaper in the long run than just the body alone. For example, in 2023, I saw a deal with a similar-priced camera which included a really nice external recorder and some batteries. It was a better deal than just getting the camera on its own at a slightly lower price!

So, my advice? Start tracking ALL the potential bundles that include the a7RV (or even the Mark II if it's out by then!) leading up to Black Friday. You might find the ultimate deal isn't *just* the lowest price on the body, but the best overall package for your needs. Food for thought, right? Good luck with the planning!

Hey! Black Friday 2025, that's some next-level planning! I actually bought my a7RIII (two gens back from what you're looking at) a few *months* after it came out, and honestly, I haven't regretted it for a second. I paid full price then, and that stung a bit, haha.

So, my take is this: while a Black Friday discount on the a7RV is possible, don't hinge *everything* on it. Think about how much use you'll get out of it between now and then. If the improved resolution and autofocus will *really* boost your photography and maybe even your income (if you're doing paid work), it might be worth grabbing it sooner rather than later.

Plus, consider the 'opportunity cost' – all the great shots you might miss while waiting. I know, it's a tough call! But sometimes, the value of having the right tool *now* outweighs a potential discount later. I’d say keep an eye on used prices too, sometimes you can snag a great deal that way. Hope this helps!

Hey! Everyone's talking price, which is fair, but remember maintenance! I used to obsess over deals, then my shutter count hit the roof and BAM! Needed a pricey cleaning.

Honestly, factor in potential sensor cleaning or even minor repairs down the line. Sony gear is amazing, but stuff happens! Maybe set aside a little "camera emergency fund" alongside your savings for the a7RV. That way, unexpected costs won't sting as much. Just a thought! Good luck!

Hey! Instead of waiting for deals, have you considered checking the used market or even doing some repairs on your a7III yourself? I've been there with needing better resolution. Honestly, slapping a new sensor in your a7III *might* be cheaper than a whole new a7RV, if you're handy. I've seen some DIY sensor replacement kits online (though proceed at your own risk, obviously!). Or, you could find a reputable repair shop that does sensor upgrades; might be worth exploring those routes too before Black Friday 2025 rolls around! Good luck!

Hey! Everyone's got great points about price and condition, but has anyone thought about the *environmental* cost of upgrading? I totally get wanting that a7RV, the resolution is amazing, but maybe consider the eco-impact too!

Instead of buying new right away, what about looking for a *used* a7RV in excellent condition? Less manufacturing impact. OR, if you DO buy new, could you offset the carbon footprint somehow? Maybe donate to an environmental org or buy carbon credits? It's something I'm trying to be more conscious of with my gear.

Also, think about your a7III! Could you sell it locally instead of shipping it across the country (less fuel!). Just throwing it out there! Happy shooting, whatever you decide!

Hey! Black Friday 2025... that's dedication! While everyone's focusing on Sony, have you considered alternatives like Fujifilm or even jumping ship to Canon? Honestly, I've had issues with Sony's price/performance ratio lately. Their lenses are REALLY expensive, and sometimes the improvements aren't as good as expected for the cost.

For example, you might find a better deal on a Fujifilm GFX system (used, maybe?) that gives you even MORE resolution than the a7RV for around the same price point on Black Friday. Or maybe Canon's EOS R5 will be heavily discounted by then. Just something to consider! Diversifying your research might pay off more than hyper-focusing on one brand. It's worth looking at the bigger picture to see what offers the best value. Hope this helps!
