Anyone tracking Sony ZV-1 deals for Cyber Monday 2025? I’m looking to pick one up mainly for travel vlogging and YouTube, and I’m wondering what kind of discounts we might realistically see (bundle deals, extra batteries, memory cards, etc.). Should I wait for Cyber Monday or just buy if I see around 20–25% off before then?

Would love to know this too

Hey,

So I actually bought my ZV-1 around Black Friday last year… and, unfortunately, I kind of regret waiting for the “big” deals.

From what I saw, the discounts weren’t as crazy as I expected. The typical pattern was:
- **Body only**: maybe 10–15% off
- **Bundles**: small discount, but extra battery, cheap tripod, and a basic SD card

In my case, I waited for Cyber Monday thinking prices would drop further, but they basically stayed the same as the week before. I also had stock issues — the bundle I wanted sold out, and I ended up with a less useful kit.

So, in my opinion, if you see a **real 20–25% off from an authorized dealer** (B&H, Adorama, etc.), I’d seriously consider just grabbing it. Especially if the bundle has a genuine NP-BX1 battery and a decent SD card, not some no-name junk.

That said, what’s your budget and where are you buying from? That might change things a bit.

Hope this helps!

Hey, from a more nerdy/tech side: pure % discounts on the ZV‑1 itself are usually modest (10–20%), but where Cyber Monday can be amazing is *value*—official Sony bundles, extra NP‑BX1 batteries, fast UHS‑I V30 cards, maybe a grip or small shotgun mic thrown in. For travel vlogging, those accessories matter more than squeezing another 5% off the body, because you’ll absolutely burn through batteries and storage. I’d personally lock it in if you see ~20% off **plus** a useful bundle from an authorized dealer; if it’s just body-only at 20–25%, I’d wait and see what Cyber Monday accessory packs pop up. Also, keep an eye on the ZV‑1 II pricing—if that drops, it can push better deals on the original ZV‑1 right around Cyber Monday.

Hey,

If you’re mainly budget-focused, I’d say: don’t chase the exact day, chase **total cost of ownership**.

For the ZV‑1, your real expenses aren’t just the body – it’s:
- 2–3 extra NP‑BX1 batteries
- Fast SD card (V30 or better if you do 4K a lot)
- Small grip/mini tripod
- Maybe a case and extra deadcat

In my experience, Cyber Monday usually doesn’t drop the camera price *that* much lower than a decent pre‑sale (maybe an extra 5–10% at best), but you sometimes get **inflated bundle prices** that look good and aren’t. I’ve seen “creator kits” where the tripod and card were cheap no‑name stuff you’d never have bought on purpose.

What I’d do:
- If you see ~20–25% off **from an authorized dealer**, with either a genuine Sony grip or at least one extra OEM battery = that’s already a solid buy.
- Then piece out the rest (batteries, cards) separately where they’re cheapest.

Only wait for Cyber Monday if you’re not in a rush and you’re okay with possibly saving just a bit more… or nothing at all.

Hope this helps!

Hey,

I’ll come at this from more of a market/comparison angle, because I’ve sadly been burned a couple times waiting for “big” Sony deals that never really materialized.

**Background / market bit:**
The ZV‑1 is in a weird spot now. It’s not brand‑new, but it’s still popular, so Sony doesn’t *usually* slash it super hard. Meanwhile, Canon (G7X III / V10), Panasonic (LX10 if you can find it), and even some Insta360 / DJI pocket-style cams get more aggressive discounts around Cyber Monday to grab eyeballs.

**Why it matters:**
Retailers use the ZV‑1 as a “safe” price point and then undercut with competitors. So you might see:
- ZV‑1: 10–20% off + basic bundle
- Competing cams: similar or better discount *plus* bigger accessory kits or gift cards

**What I’d do:**
If you see ~20–25% off the ZV‑1 *and* a useful bundle (extra battery or decent SD), that’s already close to what I’ve seen around Cyber Monday in past years. Waiting might get you a slightly better ZV‑1 deal, but more likely you’ll just see stronger promos on rivals.

So IMO: set a price alert for ZV‑1 **and** Canon G7X III / V10, maybe even an Insta360 Go or Pocket-style cam. If the ZV‑1 hits your 20–25% target before Cyber Monday from a good retailer, I’d probably just grab it and not stress.

Hope this helps!

Hey,

I’m a bit on the cautious side too, so I’ll throw in a safety / reliability angle instead of just price talk.

If you’re planning travel vlogging, I’d honestly prioritize **buying from a really solid, authorized retailer** over squeezing out a few extra % off on Cyber Monday. With the ZV‑1 you want:

- **Legit warranty** (Sony or proper store warranty) – helps if you get sensor issues, lens errors, or overheating problems.
- **Genuine batteries** – those sketchy “super cheap” bundles sometimes include knockoff NP‑BX1s. They can swell, die fast, or in worst case overheat in your bag. I’d rather pay a bit more and sleep easy.
- **Good return policy** – you’ll find out pretty quick if your copy overheats, has dust in the lens, or weird focus behavior. A 30‑day return window is worth more than an extra 5–10% discount IMO.

So my view: if you see a ~20% deal **from a reputable seller, with real Sony batteries and proper warranty**, I’d be happy with that and not wait, especially if you’ve got trips planned.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you’re looking at a specific bundle and not sure if it’s safe/legit.
