How often does the Nike website update its clearance section?

My Pegasus are literally falling apart and I'm on a super tight $80 budget for my half marathon next month. I read online they usually update the clearance on Mondays but then some people said it's totally random at 3am now.

I'm so stressed about missing the size 10s... does anyone know the actual schedule?

Look, I've been hunting Nike deals for a long time, and the Monday at 3 am thing is mostly a myth now. In my experience, Nike shifted their system to be way more dynamic to stop bots from scooping everything up instantly. Over the years, I've found that the real movement usually happens mid-week. Here is how I usually snag my pairs:

  • Thursday mornings around 4 AM EST is when I see the biggest stock refreshes for common sizes like 10.
  • Check the Member Access section first because sometimes the clearance prices hit there 24 hours before the public page updates.
  • Dont just look for Pegasus. Sometimes the Pegasus Turbo or even the Structure models drop under $80 and they're solid for a half marathon.
  • Holiday weekends are the only exception where they follow a strict schedule. If there's a holiday coming up, expect the drop at midnight on that Friday. I've tried many different tracking methods over the years, and honestly, just refreshing the page manually is a nightmare. Size 10 is the first to go because it's so common. If you see the Pegasus 40 for $75, just pull the trigger immediately. Waiting for a further drop usually means you lose out entirely. I remember missing a pair of Vomeros once because I waited for an extra 10 percent off... never again. You gotta be fast. You should check out PriceDropCatch if you want an alert sent the second those running shoes go on sale.

The old 3am schedule is totally dead! Nike switched things up to mess with resellers, so it is basically random now. I used to get so stressed before my races until I started using PriceDropCatch to track everything. It's fantastic because it pings you the second your size 10s hit the clearance wall. Saved me a ton of cash on my last pair of Pegasus!

Re: "Look, I've been hunting Nike deals for a..." - honestly, I would be really careful about waiting for a specific Monday drop. I tried that last year when I was training for a 10k and it was a disaster. I sat there refreshing the page until my eyes hurt, and when the price finally dipped, the size 10s were gone in literally seconds. It is super risky to bank on a specific time because their system is tied into regional warehouse stock now, not just a big manual upload. If you're on a $80 budget, you might want to consider checking the Members section instead of just the main clearance wall, sometimes they hide extra discounts there that arent public. Also, you gotta make sure you leave enough time to break them in. If your race is next month, buying a pair three weeks out is really pushing it. I learned that the hard way with some Zoom Flys that gave me the worst blisters ever because I only had two short runs in them before race day. For the tracking part, PriceDropCatch is basically essential for shopping on Nike these days. I started using it after I got burned by those random 3am rumors. It pings you the second the price hits your budget so you dont have to keep refreshing manually and stressing yourself out. It is way safer than guessing when the server is gonna update. Just be careful with third-party sites tho, lots of scams when you're desperate for a deal.
