I just treated myself to the DJI Mini 4 Pro and I am absolutely loving it so far! Since this is my first serious drone, I want to make sure I have everything I need to keep it safe and get the best footage possible.

I already have the Fly More Combo, but I am looking for suggestions on additional gear. I am specifically curious about which ND filters are best for those smooth cinematic shots and if a hard-shell carrying case is a big upgrade over the stock bag. Also, does anyone actually use a landing pad to protect the sensors in tall grass?

What are the absolute must-have accessories you would recommend for a new owner to pick up right away?

Ok so, i had a moment to think about this more and honestly, after flying dji drones for a decade, i have learned that not every accessory is actually worth the hype. i mean, ive spent so much money on junk that just sits in my closet now. it is kinda frustrating. for the nd filters, since youre looking for that cinematic look, you gotta decide between brands. i personally used the Tiffen Filter 3-Pack for DJI Mini 4 Pro for a while but unfortunately, the color shift was kinda annoying in the highlights. i switched to the NiSi DJI Mini 4 Pro Starter Kit and found the glass way better, tho it is a bit pricier. the nisi ones are easier to clean too, which is huge when youre out in the field and accidentally smudge the lens. about the case... the stock bag is basically useless if u actually travel. i had issues with the sticks getting crushed in the soft bag once. seriously. i would compare the GPC DJI Mini 4 Pro Hard Case against something like the Smatree Hard Carrying Case for DJI Mini 4 Pro. the gpc is literally indestructible but it is heavy as hell. the smatree is a bit more portable but the foam is kinda cheap and starts flaking after a few months... not as good as expected tbh. i guess it depends on how much you move around. and dude, definitely get a landing pad. i didnt use one at first and ended up with sand in my motors. not fun. basically, just get a cheap foldable one like the PGYTECH Drone Landing Pad and save yourself the headache. gl!

Here's what I recommend: I've been flying DJI stuff for like 6 years now, and honestly, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is a total beast. For ND filters, you basically gotta have them if u want that smooth cinematic motion blur. I've always used the Freewell DJI Mini 4 Pro All Day Filters 6-Pack cuz they're solid quality and dont mess with the gimbal balance. The stock bag is alright, but if youre traveling or tossing it in a car, a hard case like the Lykus Titan MA210 Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Mini 4 Pro is a huge upgrade for protection. It keeps everything way more secure, right? And definitely grab a landing pad! I use the PGYTECH Drone Landing Pad Pro basically every flight. It stops dirt from getting sucked into the motors and keeps the sensors clear of tall grass... it's lowkey a lifesaver for the gimbal too. gl!

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before you go spending a ton on fancy gear. After years of flying, I've learned that keeping things light is key. Honestly, I think landing pads are kinda overkill and just more junk to carry... I usually just hand-launch and hand-catch to keep my sensors clean for free! It's a bit scary at first but you get used to it lol. Instead of a bulky hard case, I'm really happy using a small STARTRC Mini 4 Pro Portable Body Bag inside my own backpack. It's way more lowkey and easier to travel with. If you want those cinematic shots without spending a fortune, the K&F Concept DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Filter Set 6 Pack works perfectly and is super budget-friendly compared to the big names. Save your money for extra batteries or insurance instead tbh!! Just my two cents

> Same setup here, love it Re: "Same setup here, love it" - jumping in to agree with the minimalist approach, tbh. You don't always need the most expensive gear to get results. If you're looking at filters but want to save some cash compared to the big brands, K&F Concept DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Filter Set is a really solid alternative. I've found their glass to be pretty neutral and they're way cheaper than Freewell most of the time. On the case side of things, if you find the stock bag too soft but a hard case too heavy, PGYTECH DJI Mini 4 Pro Carrying Case is a great shout. It's a semi-hard shell that offers way more protection for the gimbal than the DJI bag without being a massive brick in your luggage.

  • ND filters: K&F is great for budget
  • Landing: Hand launch is best, but a cheap pad works too
  • Storage: Semi-rigid cases are the sweet spot Definitely stick with what feels comfortable for your flying style tho! It's a fun hobby once you get the basics down and stop worrying about every little scratch.
