I'm considering purchasing the Fujifilm X-T50 and would love some lens recommendations. I'm primarily interested in photography, particularly landscapes and portraits. Any good suggestions?
The Fujifilm X-T50 pairs well with several excellent lenses for landscape and portrait photography. For landscapes, consider the Fujinon XF 10-24mm f/4 OIS for its versatile wide-angle range and image stabilization, or the XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR prime lens for superior low-light performance and weather resistance. The Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 is great for astrophotography.
For portraits, the Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 delivers beautiful bokeh and sharp images. The Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 OIS serves well as an all-purpose lens, while the XF 23mm f/1.4 excels in environmental portraits.
Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN C. Love it.
Just catching up on the thread... To add to the point above about the standard zooms, I actually had issues with my old kit lens after a few months, it just felt a bit flimsy. Honestly it was kinda disappointing because I expected more for the price. If you want something that feels a bit more reliable for long-term use, the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR is a much safer bet imo. Its built like a tank and the constant aperture is nice for landscapes. For portraits, I tried some of the cheaper fast primes but they werent as good as expected for tracking moving people. I eventually just grabbed the Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR and its been great. Its small, super fast at focusing, and doesnt mind a bit of rain. Also, if you need something wider for scenery, the Fujifilm XF 14mm f/2.8 R is an older lens but really dependable. It doesnt have much distortion at all which makes editing way easier for someone just starting out.
For the Fujifilm X-T50, consider these lenses:
XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS
XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS
