Any solid rumors on when the Fujifilm X-T6 might drop? My X-T4 is getting old. Looking for a release date timeframe, ideally before end of the year if possible. What's the latest info you've heard?

Tbh I disagree with the idea of just wrapping the camera or settling for an X-T5 if you actually care about real-world PERFORMANCE. Benchmarks on the current 40MP lineup show it’s a huge win for resolution, but the readout speed can actually be a step back in some high-speed scenarios compared to stacked sensors. If you're feeling like the X-T4 is "old," its likely the AF tracking or the buffer depth that’s bugging you. Quick tip: Look at your hit rate in burst mode. If the X-T4 is missing focus, the Fujifilm X-T6 needs to bring a SIGNIFICANT processor jump to be worth the wait. Honestly, wait for the actual stress tests and rolling shutter specs before you commit. Dont just buy into the resolution hype if speed is what you actually need for your workflow. I mean, the Fujifilm X-H2S is the only one currently nailing that high-speed niche, so unless the T6 borrows that tech, it might not feel like the massive leap youre hoping for.

Before upgrading, I'd suggest a professional safety inspection. My brakes failed last year – costly mistake!

Sensor likely improved, but consider Sony A7C. Depends on needs; both are decent options.

Forget release dates. Get a proper dashcam; Thinkware's reliability is worth more than megapixels.

X-T6? Consider a used X-T5. Saves $$$ and still a fantastic camera.

Ditching Fuji? Sony's been killing it lately. Their Alpha series is gaining traction. Expect Fuji to respond aggressively, likely late '24, targeting the same price point.

Haven't heard much concrete on the X-T6 release. While waiting, have you considered giving your X-T4 a 'refresh'? I've wrapped cameras before (like I do my cars!), and a new skin can make it feel new. Might buy you some time. Check out 3M vinyl wraps – lots of cool options. Costs around $50, DIY, and surprisingly satisfying!
