Hey! Looking for the best memory card for my Nikon ZR. Just got it! What's a reliable, fast card that won't break the bank? Budget around $50.
According to Nikon, it has two type card slots:
Slot 1: CFexpress Type B
Slot 2: microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC (UHS-I)
Recommended cards:
Slot 1: Lexar 512GB Professional Silver SE CFexpress Type B Memory Card
Slot 2: Any best selling microSD cards works.
Been using Lexar Silver SE for several months, love it, very fast and stable card.
I’ve been rocking the Samsung PRO Plus 128GB microSDXC for my ZR and it’s been absolutely fantastic! Just last week I was out doing some bird photography and it handled those high-speed bursts like a total champ. I seriously love how I can get pro-level reliability without spending a crazy amount of money. It’s been a total game changer for my workflow and hasnt let me down once! Quick tip: make sure you grab a high-speed reader like the Kingston MobileLite Plus microSD Reader to get those files onto your computer fast. Also, always format the card in-camera rather than on your PC to keep everything running smooth!
Get CFexpress TYPE B card for main use, while microSD card for backup.
Same setup here, love it
Lexar 633x! I've used it for years. Never a hiccup, amazing value.
Nikon ZR needs UHS-I. Lexar Professional 1667x series, 128GB, should do the trick. Check for V30 rating (minimum write speed 30MB/s) for reliable 4K recording.
Don't overspend! For the ZR, a SanDisk Extreme 64GB should be plenty. It's UHS-I, not II, but still fast enough for most shooting and video. I've used it; it works. You can usually find them for around $20-30. Unless you're doing 4K video constantly, save your money for lenses!
Hey! Forget max speed; prioritize data integrity. Lost photos are a HUGE bummer. Over the years, I've found Sandisk Extreme (around $30) very reliable. I've tried many; cheaper cards sometimes corrupt. Consider it insurance for your memories! Double-check it's genuine; fakes are common online.
Lexar's decent. Cards are commodities; read reviews, compare prices. $30 usually works.
