I'm trying to put together a build list for my nephew's 18th birthday since he wants a gaming setup and I've got about 1500 saved up to spend at the local Best Buy here in Austin. I found the list feature in the app and I saw some people online saying you can just hit the share button to send it to someone but when I tried it just sends a messy text with links to each item one by one. I was really hoping for something like an Amazon wishlist where I can just give a link to my sister so she can see the whole thing and tell me what she thinks without me spamming her phone. Is there an actual way to make these lists public or is it just for private use?
Unfortunately, Best Buy does not support clean, public wishlist sharing. The app only sends those messy, individual links. I stopped using their built-in list sharing due to reliability issues:
Whats the exact component list look like? Best Buy lists dont support public links, but Share Product handles sharing better. Protip: verify the motherboard form factor matches your case.
> Unfortunately, Best Buy does not support clean, public wishlist sharing. To add to the point above: it honestly drives me crazy how these massive tech giants can't code a basic sharing feature. You're trying to spend $1500 on hardware and their app acts like it's from 2005. It's such a joke how they expect us to buy expensive parts but won't even invest in decent UX.
