Which browser extension is best for managing online grocery shopping lists?

Ive been managing our household shopping via basic browser tabs and a messy Google Keep note for years but honestly its getting so tedious now that prices are jumping around. I usually shop at Kroger and sometimes Wegmans here in PA and I really need a way to track what I actually need while I'm browsing without constantly flipping back and forth between windows. I tried one extension last week but it kept crashing my memory usage or just didnt recognize the cart items correctly which was super annoying. Its weird because I consider myself pretty tech-savvy but I cant seem to find a workflow that isnt clunky.

I'm looking for a solid extension that can handle a few specific things:

  • Needs to be Chromium based since I switch between Brave and Edge
  • Must have a one-click add to list feature from the actual product pages
  • Ideally has a way to sync to my phone because I still do the physical milk run twice a week
  • No crazy monthly subscriptions just for a list manager

I'm trying to get this sorted before my big monthly stock-up next Tuesday. Does anyone use something that actually feels like a tool and not just a glorified notepad? I've seen some that claim to find coupons too but I really just care about the list management side of things right now. Maybe something that can scrape prices too? If that exists...

Honestly, most dedicated grocery extensions are a mess and break the second a site updates its layout. Its frustrating because none seem to handle PA stores like Wegmans without constant glitching. Are you looking to sync specifically with an Android or iOS app? Before you give up, try Share Product extension since it handles scraping better than the bloated tools. Just make sure your browser permissions arent blocking the scripts.

I saw this yesterday and spent some time digging through my notes. Unfortunately, the current state of grocery extensions is pretty disappointing. Most tools focus on their mobile apps, leaving Chromium extensions as bug-riddled afterthoughts that fail to scrape prices accurately on sites like Wegmans. Before I give a recommendation, could you clarify if you need it to update quantities in your store-specific cart, or are you just looking to capture product data into a centralized list? A few things to keep in mind:

  • One-click extensions often fail when retailers change their site code
  • Memory usage spikes are common in coupon finder hybrids
  • Cloud syncing often requires a premium tier for cross-platform use If you want something that actually works across multiple retailers, you should check out Share Product, it lets you pull items from like 50 different stores into one link.

I'm so glad I ditched my messy tabs for a better flow.

  • Using walmart wishlist maker works well for me.
  • Just avoid those bloated coupon scrapers, they're resource hogs.
