I am so excited because my sisters getting married and I am the maid of honor!! I am trying to organize all the decorations and favors for her bridal shower in Chicago next month and I have like 45 things in my Amazon cart right now. My logic was that I could just click a button and send the whole cart to the other bridesmaids so they can see what I picked and maybe buy some of it but I literally cannot find any way to do that. Is that even a thing??

I feel so dumb asking this but I spent all morning clicking around and I just keep seeing the 'proceed to checkout' button which is NOT what I want to do yet haha. I thought maybe if I made a registry it would work but that seems too formal and I dont want my sister to see it yet. Then I looked at wishlists but can people just buy the whole list at once or do they have to do it one by one? I just want a simple link that says 'here is everything I found' so they can look. My budget for the party is pretty tight since I am paying for the cake too so I really need something that doesn't cost money to use. Is there a free tool that does this or am I just missing a button somewhere...

Quick reply while I am on my lunch break because I dealt with this exact thing for a group trip last year and it was driving me nuts too. Amazon is weirdly gatekeepy with their cart data so there is literally no button on the site that does this for security reasons. Basically, your cart is tied to your session and browser cookies, so a direct link just wont work for anyone else... it is kinda annoying tbh. If you want the easiest free tool that actually works, I have been super satisfied with the Share-A-Cart browser extension. I use it for my office supplies and it works well every time. You just click the extension while you are on your cart page, it generates a unique code or link, and then the bridesmaids can just click that to move everything into their own carts in one go. No complaints from me, it even handles the quantities and specific variations. The alternative is a collaborative list, but that requires everyone to have an account and join the list manually, which is a total pain for a bridal shower. If you go the extension route, it is way more direct. Just keep in mind that it doesnt sync live... if you add something new later, you gotta generate a new link. It saved me so much time trying to explain which specific decorations I wanted everyone to buy, honestly.

Regarding what #1 said about Quick reply while I am on my lunch... Amazon really makes it a pain. Honestly, their native wishlist feature is super disappointing for stuff like this. Quick question tho, are you planning this on a laptop or just your phone?

  • Check out CartToLink since its free
  • It basically turns your whole cart into a shareable list
  • Way better than manual screenshots which I tried once and hated
