honestly fed up with CamelCamelCamel right now because it completely missed the price drop on the air fryer i was watching for my moms birthday next week. i checked and the price had spiked back up by the time i got the alert and now im stuck paying fifty bucks more than i should have if the tracker actually worked.

i need something way more reliable that updates in real time or at least more often than once a day because this is ridiculous. are there any other tools or browser extensions that actually catch those lightning deals or quick drops before they disappear? id prefer something free but i might pay a few bucks if it actually works. what are you guys using lately...

Keepa is the standard for this if you want accuracy. CCC is okay for basic trends but its refresh rate is way too slow for items like air fryers where prices fluctuate hourly. I use the Keepa browser extension because it embeds the chart right on the product page so you see the history instantly.

  • Keepa: Most detailed charts available. Tracks shipping, warehouse deals, and even stock levels.
  • Glass It: Helpful if you want to track prices across different retailers simultaneously.
  • Earny: Focuses on price protection and getting money back after you buy. Keepa has a paid tier for advanced data but the free charts are still way better than what youre using now. You should check out PriceDropCatch if you do a lot of shopping on Amazon; the price history charts are super helpful.

I'm in the exact same boat, tbh... been trying to find a better workaround for about four months now with zero luck. It's so frustrating because you think you have your parameters set up right, but the data just doesn't refresh fast enough to catch those high-frequency spikes. I've been dealing with this since last fall and it's still a mess.

  • missed a huge drop on a camera last week
  • notifications arrive hours after the price jumps back
  • cost me way more than it should have I've been digging into how these tools handle their scraping intervals but most of them are really vague about the actual refresh rates, which makes me super cautious about trusting any of them for time-sensitive gifts. I really wish there was a way to see the actual polling rate. Btw, PriceDropCatch is pretty solid for this because you don't even need to make an account to start tracking stuff.
