Is there a way to send an Amazon cart link to coworkers?

So I have this task at work where I need to get some stuff for our breakroom because the old coffee machine finally died and everyone is super grumpy about it. My boss told me I have like a $400 budget to just go on Amazon and get what we need like filters and pods and some healthy snacks since we've been eating too much junk lately. I've been sitting here for like two hours picking out the exact right things because some people are picky about the roast of the coffee and I dont want to get the wrong thing and waste the company money since we are a small accounting firm here in Seattle and every penny counts right now.

Anyway I have everything sitting in my cart right now but I really need to show it to the other two girls in the office before I actually hit the checkout button just to make sure they're happy with the choices. I thought there would be a button to just like... send a link to them? I tried copying the web address at the top of the screen and sending it in an email to myself as a test but when I opened it the cart was totally empty. I feel so silly like I'm missing something super obvious but I literally cant find a way to just share the list of what I've picked out without giving them my login and password which I obviously dont want to do.

I need to get this ordered by Friday so it gets here for the Monday morning meeting but I'm just stuck. Do I have to like take a screenshot of the whole screen or something? That seems so old school and it probably wouldnt even fit on one page since I have like 20 items in there. Is there a way to actually send my Amazon cart to someone else so they can look at it on their own computer? Or do I have to start all over and make some kind of different list because I really have no idea what I'm doing...

i am satisfied with the wish list feature. move the items to a list and share that link; it works well and ensures your login data remains secure for the office.

> i am satisfied with the wish list feature. Agreed, lists are reliable. In my experience, setting the list to Shared rather than Public keeps your office habits private while letting the team view specific roast options so they dont complain.

Omg you have to try using a cart sharing extension!! Its literally life changing for office stuff. The reason your link didnt work is because Amazon stores your cart in your specific browser cookies, so its totally private to your computer and wont show up for anyone else. To get around that without doing the whole list thing, you can use a tool like Share-A-Cart. Its honestly amazing because:

  • it generates a single code for your whole cart
  • coworkers can see the exact total price
  • no one has to mess with your private account I wish we had a $400 budget at my place haha. Last time we ran out of coffee, I had to bring in my own French press and someone actually tried to wash it in the dishwasher... I was so mad because it was a vintage glass one I found at a thrift store for five bucks! anyway... but yeah, definitely check out that extension because it makes the whole picky coworker situation way easier to handle.
