Hey everyone,
Anyone already keeping an eye out for potential Sony FX3A Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals in 2025? I know it's super early, but I'm planning a major upgrade to my kit around that time, specifically for higher frame rate 4K shooting. I missed out on some good deals this past year, and I'm trying to be way more prepared next time.
I'm especially interested if anyone knows when Sony typically announces these sorts of promotions or if there are specific retailers known for offering deeper discounts on Sony cinema cameras. Also, do you think the FX3A is even likely to be discounted that heavily, considering it's a relatively new model? Any insights or predictions would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!

tbh if ur looking for amazing color science - just go with Canon. You basically can't go wrong with any of their cinema line stuff and their glass is just *chef's kiss*. I've always felt like their ecosystem is way more intuitive for video work anyway. Yeah - honestly - if ur already planning a big upgrade just look at what they have to offer across the board. The deals usually hit all their pro gear at once during the holidays anyway!

I totally get the Black Friday prep – it's the best time to snag deals! Honestly, predicting specific FX3A discounts that far out is kinda tough. But, based on my experience with Sony's release cycles and past sales, here's my take:
Don't expect massive discounts *directly* on the FX3A itself. Since it's relatively new, any price drops will probably be modest. Instead, keep an eye out for bundles! Sony often bundles cameras with accessories (lenses, mics, etc.) during Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and that's where you'll find the real value. I got my FX6 in a kit with a shotgun mic and extra batteries a couple of years ago – saved a bundle compared to buying everything separately.
Also, retailers like B&H Photo and Adorama usually have pretty competitive deals on Sony gear, so definitely bookmark those sites! Good luck with the upgrade!

Hey! Honestly, instead of *just* focusing on discounts, explore used options or even consider the FX6 if high frame rates are key. Its full-frame sensor gives amazing low-light performance too! Just a thought!

Honestly, the savings can be significant (sometimes even better than Black Friday) and they come with a warranty. Keep an eye on their website year-round. Hey! I get wanting a good deal. But have you thought about the warranty and return policies on Black Friday stuff? Sometimes those deals are 'final sale' or have super strict return windows. If something's wrong with your FX3A, it could be a HUGE headache. Maybe check if your credit card offers purchase protection? Could give you extra peace of mind... Just a thought! Hey! Instead of *just* waiting for Sony deals, have you considered other brands? Panasonic's Lumix series, like the GH6, can give you awesome 4K high frame rates too, often at a lower price point than Sony. Blackmagic also has some amazing cinema cameras that might fit your budget. It's worth doing some market research and comparing specs/prices! Don't limit yourself to just one brand. Good luck!
