Anyone know when Canon Direct Store usually drops their Black Friday deals? Hoping to snag a new lens this year. Specifically looking at RF mount stuff. What kind of discounts did you all see in the past?

Canon Direct Store refurbished deals are very hot, usually sold out very soon.

Honestly, before jumping in, what focal lengths are you actually hunting for? Are we talking about fast primes or a versatile zoom? It makes a HUGE difference since the discount patterns on L-series glass differ quite a bit from the consumer STM lenses. From a technical perspective, I'd keep a close eye on the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM or the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM. Usually, these L-series zooms see a significant price drop right around the Monday before Thanksgiving. One thing people often overlook is checking if they're bundling the 'Care Pak Plus' during the sale—it’s basically free insurance against accidental damage which adds a ton of actual value. Also, if you’re looking at the higher-end glass, make sure your body has the latest firmware ready; some of those newer RF lens profiles really need the update to maximize the peripheral illumination correction and AF tracking speed. Just a thought...

The refurbished RF 10-20mm f/4 L IS STM for $1999.00 is the lowest refurbished price seen yet, beating the previous low by $70!

Bump - same question here

Canon's good, but check Sony too. Their Black Friday deals last year averaged 15% off some prime lenses. Could stretch that $500 further.
