No, there will be no price drop on EOS R5 Mark II, but you can check bundle deals at Amazon, B&H, Adorama.

Honestly, dont hold your breath for a direct price cut on the Canon EOS R5 Mark II Body this year. Canon is usually super protective of their MSRP on new flagship gear during the first holiday cycle. Based on the technical specs and the high demand for that new stacked sensor, supply is still tight enough that they wont feel pressured to slash the price yet. You might want to consider looking at bundle deals instead, but be careful with those. Sometimes they just throw in cheap junk to make the price look better. I would suggest looking for a kit that includes a high-speed card like the ProGrade Digital 512GB CFexpress Type B Gold because that camera eats through data fast. Make sure to stick to authorized dealers tho. If you see a deal that looks way too good to be true on some random site, it is probably a gray market unit without a valid warranty. I am happy to take a look at any specific links you find if you want a second pair of eyes on them.

Tbh i wouldnt expect a big drop on the R5 Mark II yet. Its just too new. I think someone told me that retailers are barely keeping them on the shelves anyway, so why would they cut the price? Its kinda disappointing because i was really hoping to pick one up without draining my savings account, but canon usually keeps those flagship prices locked down tight for a while. If youre trying to be smart with your budget, keep an eye on these things instead:

  • Manufacturer refurbished units (tho they rarely have the brand new models this fast)
  • Loyalty programs or trade-in bonuses
  • Credit card rewards or specific store points Unfortunately, i had issues with gray market gear before and it was a total nightmare getting it serviced. Definitely dont go that route just to save a couple hundred bucks... its not worth the risk if the sensor decides to quit on you. Not 100% sure if that helps your wallet today but its the safest bet.
