Im finally heading to Kyoto next month with my Canon R6 and im trying to figure out what extra gear is actually worth the weight in my bag. I have about 300 bucks left in my budget for accessories. I saw a lot of people recommending the Peak Design Capture Clip for long walks but then I read some posts saying it gets really painful on the shoulder after a few hours if youre using a heavier lens like my 24-105mm. I also looked into those tiny travel tripods but they seem so flimsy for a full frame setup. what do you guys actually carry when you are on the move all day? is there something better than just a standard neck strap...

Kyoto involves tons of walking so you might want to consider the total weight. I would suggest staying away from cheap tripods because they can be unstable. Make sure to prioritize power and security instead:

Been thinking about your gear list... honestly the capture clip is rough with a 24-105mm. Try the Spider Holster SpiderLight Backpacker Kit instead. It shifts weight to your waist so your shoulders dont scream after four hours. Also, pick up a SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB UHS-II SDXC card. The R6 writes fast and you dont want a slow card bottlenecking you during a busy Kyoto day.

Honestly I am in the exact same boat. Im heading out soon with my R6 too and that 24-105mm is such a heavy beast to carry. Im mostly worried about reliability... really dont want a cheap strap failing or getting my gear swiped. Trying to stay under budget while keeping everything safe is a nightmare. I was looking at the Manfrotto Pixi Evo 2-Section Mini Tripod but worry it might just tip over.

Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!
