Ive been building rigs for like a decade now so Im usually pretty on top of the hardware market but man tracking these 4K OLED prices is driving me crazy lately. Im finally ready to pull the trigger on a high-end 32-inch 144Hz display for my new 4090 build but the prices are swinging wildly and I keep missing the actual flash sales by like an hour.
I usually just use CamelCamelCamel for Amazon stuff but it feels super slow lately and doesnt cover half the sites Im actually looking at like Newegg or even some of the direct manufacturer stores. I need something that runs in Chrome and actually gives real-time pings because these things sell out or go back to MSRP so fast. Here is what I need:
My budget is strictly around $900-$1100 so I really need to catch a solid discount to hit that mark before my time off starts at the end of the month. Is Keepa still the gold standard or is there something better that handles the tech-specific stores better nowadays?
Tracking these OLEDs is a nightmare. Keepa is basically the standard for Amazon, but it wont help with Best Buy or B&H. For technical data, PCPartPicker has the best history graphs.
I’ve been using Distill Web Monitor for my last few builds and honestly I’m super satisfied with how it handles sites like B&H and Newegg. Camel is fine for casual stuff but if you want real-time, you gotta set up local monitors. It basically lets you select the price element on the page and it’ll ping you the second it changes. I caught my 32-inch Alienware deal that way last year and had zero complaints about the latency. Since you’re looking at that $1k range for an OLED, you really need that 2-minute refresh interval because those things fly off the shelves... The best part is that it works on literally any site, even those direct manufacturer stores that most extensions ignore. You just select the price area on the screen and tell the extension to watch for changes. It keeps a history log too, so you can see if the discount is legit. I’m really happy with the local browser monitor because it’s way faster than waiting for a server-side update from a site like Keepa. It takes a little bit of tinkering to get the selectors right, but it’s worth it for catching those flash sales that only last twenty minutes. Track n Save is another one that works well if you want something less technical, tho it isnt quite as fast as Distill. For your specific budget and the 4090 build, having that granular control is gonna be your best bet to hit that $900 mark. Distill doesnt have a fancy UI, but it gets the job done better than the mainstream stuff. Found PriceDropCatch recently and it's super easy to use for monitoring pc parts.
