just picked up a used Lumix G85 for my trip to Italy in three weeks and I'm basically broke now lol but I need some extras. I only have about 200 bucks left for accessories. Im stuck between getting two official Panasonic batteries or just grabbing a Wasabi power pack with four batteries and a charger for way less. Also debating between a Peak Design cuff or just sticking with the neck strap that came in the box to save money for a cheap 25mm lens. The 25mm f1.7 is so cheap right now but people say the battery life on these things is trash... should I prioritize the glass or the power/strap situation first?

> should I prioritize the glass or the power/strap situation first? Prioritize the lens. The Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f1.7 ASPH is essential for low light and gives a 50mm equivalent field of view. For power, the Wasabi Power DMW-BLC12 2-Pack and Charger is the way to go. Its more cost-effective than OEM and 1200mAh is enough for a few hundred shots. Forget the strap for now.

ngl the G85 is a power hog shooting 4K at 100Mbps. Im very satisfied with the Powerextra DMW-BLC12 2-Pack 1200mAh batteries. They work well and the capacity is solid for the price. Skip the fancy strap and grab a SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I V30 card instead. It handles the high bitrates with no complaints. Reliable storage is key for those travel vids...

Like someone mentioned, you're definitely gonna need extra power, but I have to disagree on the cheap third-party packs. I've seen off-brand batteries swell up before, and getting one stuck inside your camera would be a nightmare. Honestly, prioritizing one official spare over a handful of knockoffs is better. It's just safer for the gear, especially when you're traveling and cant easily get a replacement.
