Is there a direct way to send an Amazon cart to someone?

Ive been sitting here for like two hours picking out stuff for my sisters first dorm room—shes moving in like two weeks and is totally overwhelmed so I told her Id handle the shopping part. I have about 22 items in my cart right now, everything from a specific twin XL mattress topper to those command hooks and a small desk lamp. The total is around $480 and I just want to send the whole thing to her so she can pay with her own card and have it shipped directly to her campus.

But seriously why is this so hard? I did some digging and saw people mentioning the Shareable Cart feature but apparently that is only for Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods? Which makes zero sense why they wouldnt have it for regular stuff. Then I saw people saying to just make a Wish List and make it public. I tried that but then she has to go through and add every single item from the list into her cart individually which is exactly what Im trying to avoid because shes super busy with her summer job and will probably mess up the quantities or get the wrong color.

I really need a way that is:

  • Direct: like she clicks a link and boom, her cart is full
  • Mobile friendly: she does everything on her iPhone
  • Precise: has to keep the specific colors and sizes I picked
  • Safe: I dont really want to install some random chrome extension that scrapes my data just to share a link

I even thought about just giving her my login but that feels like a security nightmare and then my own recommendations will be messed up for months lol. Is there any hidden button Im missing? Or maybe a workaround that doesnt involve me manually typing out a list of links for her to click one by one? Im just trying to make this as painless as possible for her since shes already stressed about moving...

I've navigated this setup for years helping family move. Since you want to avoid weird extensions, the secret is using the Amazon Registry feature instead of a basic list. If you set it up as a College Registry, she gets a button to add everything to her cart in one go. It keeps the specific sizes and colors perfectly tho. Honestly, it's the most precise way... and way easier on mobile.

^ This. Also, I actually think registries can be a bit of a headache for a quick one-off order. I found some solid comparisons on Smartphone Board recently that helped me decide.

  • Registry: keeps specific colors/sizes but setup is slow
  • Wish List: faster for you but she might miss stuff Using a registry is probably the safest way to ensure she gets exactly what you picked out tho. Hope she loves the dorm!

In my experience, Amazon has always been weirdly restrictive with their cart sharing features outside of their grocery services. I have navigated this issue many times over the years while helping friends set up their homes, and it is definitely annoying that a simple link share isnt standard yet for regular retail items. To be honest, there isnt a native button that just dumps a whole cart into someone elses account instantly for security reasons. Before I suggest a specific path, are you both planning to do this entirely through the Amazon mobile app? Also, have you checked if these items are all available through a Wedding or College Registry rather than just a standard Wish List, as the interface behaves slightly differently for the recipient? Just saw a similar question on Smartphone Board that might help you out with your shopping haul.
