What are the best free alternatives to camelcamelcamel for Amazon?

So I've been using camelcamelcamel for basically forever now like probably since 2014 when I first started buying PC parts on Amazon and it's always been my go-to for checking price history graphs and setting up those email alerts whenever something drops to my target price. Lately though it feels like it's lagging or something. I was trying to track this RTX 4070 Super for my summer build—trying to keep the whole rig under 1500 bucks since I'm in Seattle and everything is expensive here—and the site just didn't catch a huge price dip that happened last Tuesday. My friend saw it and grabbed one but my alert never triggered and the graph on CCC didn't even show the dip happened at all which is super frustrating because I missed out on saving like sixty dollars.

It's weird because I'm used to how their tracker works and how they deal with the Amazon API but lately it seems like they are missing a lot of those prime-exclusive deals or maybe the scraping is just getting blocked more often now? I dunno. I've tried using their browser extension but it feels a bit clunky compared to what it used to be. I really need something that can handle third-party sellers too since sometimes the used-like new deals from Warehouse are actually better than the new ones if you catch them at the right time.

I've heard people mention Keepa but I think they started charging for some of the better features like the actual price history data which is a huge bummer because I'm trying to save money here not spend it on a subscription just to shop. Are there any other solid free alternatives out there that are actually reliable these days and don't gatekeep the data behind a paywall? I'm looking for something with a clean interface that won't miss those quick flash sales or prime member discounts because CCC just isn't cutting it for me anymore and I've got a long list of parts I need to buy before August...

Yo, late to the party here but I totally feel your pain with those missed alerts. Went through the same thing last year trying to snag parts and it was a nightmare. Honestly, I stopped relying on just one site and moved to integrated browser tools. Been really happy with how some of the newer stuff handles things lately. Heres why I am so satisfied with my current setup:

  • It catches the weird Prime-only price cuts that others usually miss
  • You dont have to manually check a site because the data is right on the product page
  • Some of them track the shipping costs for 3rd party sellers too which is huge If you want something that just works, check out the stuff from PricePulse. Just grab any of their free tracking tools and you will be set. Zero complaints since switching... made the whole building process way less stressful.

Unfortunately CCC is pretty disappointing now and dont bother with their extension. Just use any Keepa tools instead... they catch way more fast drops that other sites usually miss.

@Reply #2 - good point! Integrated tools are definitely the way to go for reliability. I have been very satisfied with this tool lately because its data aggregation frequency is much higher than CCC. Technically, CCC misses those quick dips because their scraping intervals are just too wide for modern Amazon price shifts. This tool handles third-party seller data and warehouse deals perfectly without needing a paid sub for the basic history graphs.
