What is the best all-in-one travel lens for Fujifilm X-T5?

Ive been shooting with Fuji since the X-T2 days so Im pretty dialed into the system and usually Im a total prime lens snob honestly. I love my 23mm f1.4 and the 56mm for portraits but Im planning this big two-week hiking trip through the Dolomites in Italy next month and Im starting to realize that swapping lenses on a windy ridgeline is a recipe for getting dust all over that 40MP sensor. I recently upgraded to the X-T5 and while I love the resolution its actually making my lens choices way harder than they used to be on my old X-T3.

I was looking at the 18-135mm because it has that great weather sealing and the range is basically perfect for travel but Ive heard some mixed things about how it actually holds up on the newer high-res sensors. Like is it gonna look soft and mushy when Im trying to crop into a mountain peak or something? I also thought about the 16-80mm f4 because of the constant aperture and the OIS is supposed to be insane but then I lose that extra reach on the long end which kinda defeats the purpose of an all-in-one for me. I really need something that can handle landscapes but also some street stuff in the villages.

Then theres the Tamron 18-300mm which people seem to love for the versatility but its huge and I worry itll feel unbalanced on the X-T5 body even with a grip. My budget is around $900 or so so I could probably swing most of these options or maybe even a used 16-55mm f2.8 if I just give up on the long end but that thing is a brick to carry for 10 miles a day. I just want something that wont make me regret leaving the primes at home when I get back and look at the files on a big 4k monitor later. Does anyone have real world experience with which of these actually resolves well enough for the 40mp sensor without being a total letdown in the corners...

In my experience, the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR is the sweet spot for the Dolomites. I've tried many zooms over the years and while the 18-135 reach is tempting, it just looks soft on the 40mp sensor. Save your money and grab it used for under $450. It's a total bargain and way lighter for those 10-mile days. You wont regret having the extra cash for Italian wine later!
