Got the A7IV for a wedding this weekend and I'm panicking over accessories. Torn between the ProGrade V60s or just biting the bullet on the Sony V90. My logic was V60 is cheaper but I dont want lag during bursts. Also leaning toward 3 SmallRig batteries over 1 Sony one cuz I'm broke now... what's better for $200?

Yo! Checked some speed tests on the Alpha Shooters site and you really dont need V90. Save your cash! The Lexar Professional 1667x 128GB SDXC UHS-II V60 is amazing for the price and handles bursts like a champ. Try this for your $200 budget:

Just found this thread and honestly, I've had issues with going the cheap battery route before. It's not as good as expected when the camera suddenly gives you a compatibility warning mid-shoot. Unfortunately, the A7IV is super picky with third-party power. If you're on a budget, maybe look at the Wasabi Power NP-FZ100 Battery 2-Pack instead of the usual suspects. Regarding the cards, I was actually disappointed by the ProGrade V60s during high-speed bursts lately. The buffer just hangs and it's stressful during a ceremony. If you want reliability without the Sony V90 price tag, the Angelbird AV PRO SD MK2 V60 128GB is a beast and way more stable in my experience. Or try the Sony TOUGH-M Series SDXC UHS-II 128GB V60. It's built like a tank and wont fail you. Weddings are brutal on gear so dont cut too many corners if you can help it... you'll do great tho!

I've been shooting weddings for ten years and honestly, just go with SmallRig batteries, you can't go wrong. These things have been amazing for me and never let me down during a ceremony! For storage, just get any ProGrade memory card. Their stuff is super reliable and has saved my skin plenty of times. You're gonna love that camera!

My buddy told me the exact same thing last week. Guess he was right lol.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I'd prioritize reliability over bulk. For a wedding, you can't risk a card failure.
