Best external flash for Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras?

Ive been staring at my A7IV for the last hour trying to decide if I should just pull the trigger on a flash or if Im totally overthinking this whole thing. I have a wedding coming up in about three weeks—its at this old library in Seattle and the lighting is honestly gonna be a nightmare because the ceilings are like 20 feet high and dark wood. So I definitely need something with some actual power behind it that can recycle fast.

I did a bunch of digging online and it seems like everyone is split between the Sony HVL-F60RM2 and the Godox V1 or even the V860III. My logic was that if I stay in the Sony ecosystem everything will just... work? Like I read that the face detection linked to the flash exposure is a thing now and it sounds amazing in theory but then I see the price tag is like $550 which is just a lot to swallow when the Godox is under $250. Some people on Reddit were saying the Sony ones have better weather sealing which would be nice for Washington weather but then others say the Godox round head gives a much softer falloff for portraits so now Im just stuck in this loop of comparing specs.

My budget is around $400-500 max but Id obviously rather spend less if the quality difference isnt massive. Is the intelligent communication between the Sony body and the flash actually a game changer for fast-paced events? Or is it just marketing fluff that I wont even notice?

Im also worried about the hot shoe. I heard the Sony multi-interface shoes used to be kinda flimsy and I dont want to snap a $500 piece of gear because I bumped a doorway or something during the reception. Plus I was thinking about maybe getting a trigger later for off-camera stuff and Godox seems way easier for that but I dont know if Im sacrificing reliability by going third party. I just want something that wont overheat after fifty shots because Ive had that happen with older flashes and its the worst feeling when youre trying to catch the cake cutting and the thing just stops to cool down. Maybe I should just get two Godox units for the price of one Sony? Or is that just asking for trouble...
