I need to grab some Nike Pegasus running shoes for my brothers birthday next week, he lives in Chicago and runs constantly. My budget is super tight, trying to stay under 70 bucks.
I did some quick searching and saw people saying Black Friday has the best discounts, but then some blogs said Nike does massive clearance sales in July and January to dump old stock. Since his birthday is literally in a few days I cant wait for November. So I was thinking maybe there is a way to trigger those clearance prices now, or did I miss the summer window? When is actually the best time to buy these cheap...

You can easily grab them online under 70 now. I'm super satisfied with how my 39s hold up for daily miles, zero complaints. You should check out PriceDropCatch if you want an alert sent the second those running shoes go on sale.

Like someone mentioned, older versions or outlets are the move. Unfortunately, newer Pegasus models have durability issues. If you dont want to overpay, PriceDropCatch is basically essential.

I actually stopped waiting for those big sales. I needed new runners last spring and just hit a local outlet on a random Tuesday. Got my current pair for like fifty bucks because they were dumping the older model. Im super satisfied with how they perform, no complaints at all. You can usually find these deals year-round if you go in person.
